We can’t say enough about how good this tour was! Our driver was Mike Marino. Thanks again Mike for a great tour! There was a total of 8 people in our van. Mike asked us what city and state we were from and incorporated that into the tour. Mike had so much knowledge of the city and quite a sense of humor. Most of the time you are in the van. There was a stop in City Park halfway through to use the bathrooms and get some refreshments. We toured the French Quarter, Warehouse District, Ponchatrain Lake, Garden District, past Bourbon Street, to Meterie cemetery and the levee system. We saw where Brad and Angelina live when they come to N.O. Saw Drew Brees’s house, Sandra Bullocks house, John Goodman’s house and the house they used to film The curious case of Benjamin Button. Plus all sorts of interesting history facts about N.O. and Louisanna. Even found a $10 off coupon on line. If you have the time while you are in the city, plan on taking this tour to get the highlights of the city and then go out and expore those areas you want to see on your own. Well worth every penny!
This tour takes place in a van (not a bus), and the tour is conducted by a local/native of New Orleans – which is the best kind! Celebration Tours beats out the Grayline city tours, by far.
We came to NOLA with zero knowledge of the area. The first day we walked through much of the French Quarter, but knew nothing of any background. Our hotel recommended Celebration Tours, which came to only $98 for the two of us, and the next morning we had a *very* lively tour of *all* the main attractions of New Orleans (3 hrs – just right to absorb and not too long to get antsy). Our driver was Wanda, a real character with a great sense of humor. She was quick with complete answers to questions, and stopped twice – at the City Park and at a cemetery for everyone to get out and enjoy on our own. The van only sat four couples, so it was very easy to interact and have a personal experience. Highly recommend Wanda and her van tour!!!!
Our driver was a walking encyclopedia characterizing the flavor and beauty of this city. Uhiey was fun and took us places we would have completely missed. Moreover, he grew up here and loves this city. His relationship to his surroundings was full of joy as well as infectious. I learned why Katrina can never defeat the human spirit.
This tour is a must thing to do when you first get to New Orleans. It will give you a general idea what you want to see later in your trip. Your tour last about 3 to 3 1/2 hours and is very informative. Our tour guide, Wanda has such a passion for her city it was very uplifting. Highly recommend this tour and if you can ask to have Wanda give it.
This is a great way to see all of NOLA! Ozzie picked us up at hotel and we were the only passengers in the van (so much better than a bus!). Ozzie was very accommodating and patient as we asked many questions.
We drove through every area of NOLA. Ozzie knows his history. Learned more about NOLA than I could ever read about. It was a great tour–especially if you have limited time here or if you can’t walk very much! Totally worth it!
Celebration tours was a fabulous way to see New Orleans. Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and showed us so much! This tour is well worth the money.
Tour was absolutely amazing the lady that toured me and my wife was so knowledgeable about the city showed us more than we could have even imagined and then after ending was gracious enough to drop my wife and I off at our evening accommodations. Great tour for the cost and great company (you’re really in good hands)
Awesome experience! Four of us flew down from Seattle to watch the Seahawks play the Saints. Oz Jr. picked us up on time in front of our hotel and got underway with the tour. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and encouraged questions. During the course of the tour he didn’t rush, he actually slowed down to let us take pictures and get out to walk and talk a bit (which is wonderful for a three hour tour). I highly recommend, especially if you don’t want to be on tour bus with 20-30 other people. The personal attention and interaction definitely won us over on this one.
Our guide was Ozzy Jr. Visiting from Charleston, SC. We were picked up on time in a clean van. He gave a great tour of the city he loves. Our group had various questions and he politely did his best to answer them all. We like being in a van for a tour of the city. The cemetery portion was fascinating. I would highly recommend this tour to get an overview of New Orleans.
